About Chen Tai Chi

Chen-Style Tai Chi

About the Wellness Program

Chen-style Tai Chi is the original and oldest form of Tai Chi, developed centuries ago in China. This martial art is a complete training system that blends slow, graceful movements with focused energy to improve balance, coordination, and strength. It emphasizes fluid energy flow through relaxation, control, and mindful motion. Unique to Chen-style Tai Chi are its alternating patterns—soft with hard, slow with fast, relaxed with explosive bursts of power. While it can serve as an effective form of self-defense, many practice Chen-style Tai Chi today for its profound health and wellness benefits, such as improved balance, agility, focus, and overall vitality.

Our mission is to promote the health and wellness benefits of Chen-style Tai Chi throughout the Sacramento area and make this ancient art accessible to people of all ages.
