I studied with Sifu William Bi for one year while living in Sacramento, and it was a truly wonderful and enriching experience.
Tai Chi, as taught by Sifu, was at the same time meditative, strengthening, and cultivating of agility. What I loved most was that I didn’t need to memorize movements. Instead, the focus was on following Sifu. He provided just enough essential guidance, while the teaching itself was not about training the mind, but about entraining the body and developing muscle memory.
Through Sifu’s Tai Chi, I also gained better balance, core stability, and relaxation through mindful breathing. These benefits carried over into many areas of my life, including my enjoyment of Argentine tango.
In short, I can highly recommend Sifu’s teaching. He and his wife, Jackie, created a peaceful, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere for everyone.

Sifu Bi is a dedicated Chen Tai Chi instructor. He traveled to Chen Village in China to learn from one of the best teachers, Master Xian Wang. He teaches only Chen style and not like other teachers who claim they have Black Belts in karate, Judo, and stick fighting. Sifu Bi is the real thing. His skills are very good. He is a very good teacher.
